LET’S GO LUBE! SUPPORT IS COMING FROM ENGLAND

Lube got very special good luck wishes for their next matches, wishes that come from as far away as England. Those good luck wishes will come in handy for the upcoming quarter finals in the Italian Cup against Modena (which is only three weeks away) and they come from a team that has already reached the Cup semi-finals. Do you remember Danny Primus? We introduced him to you a couple of years ago on Lubevolley.it, when he came to watch a game played by Corsano and his team mates at Palasport Fontescodella. He is an English women’s volleyball coach and a big supporter of LubeBanca Marche. He comes from a nation where volleyball does not enjoy the popularity it luckily still has in Italy and is definitely not one of the most popular sports to be played or watched. Danny’s passion for Lube seems to be growing stronger every year, as proved by his latest email, which contained a picture of his team – Swiss Cottage from London. Danny has been corresponding with the Lube press office for a long time now in order to keep up to date with the latest events related to the team coached by Ferdinando De Giorgi. Danny’s team (which was promoted to the top league last season and which has just qualified for the National Cup semi-finals) according to Danny is the most multi-cultural squad in the city. The team is made up of 10 Italian players - including the captain Irene Croceri, who is originally from Macerata but moved to the English capital for work reasons – two American players, one German, one Slovak and one Bosnian. In the picture we received via email all the players are wearing Lubevolley tops, which our great English supporter (an estate agent by profession, who is a coach only by passion) is devotedly collecting. The picture is a sort of handing over of the baton between the two teams, as on 28th it will be Lube’s turn.
